#1. The customer meets with B.D. bringing any information available, sketches, pictures etc. (the more complete the initial information, the better) Owner is responsible for all copyright issues that may arise from information given to B.D.
#2. Preliminary drawings are prepared and given to customer for review. It is expected that there will be revisions on the preliminary drawings. ( first revisions @ no charge as long as the basic house structure does not drastically change.) Customer is encouraged to carefully review each drawing. SUGGESTION: “Review with your contractor”
#3. Customer notifies B.D. of desired revisions and revisions are made accordingly. This will be considered the final drawing.
#4. If further revisions are desired after the first revisions have been completed, there will be a per. hour fee charged to customer.
NOTE: “Clear, accurate initial information and careful review of the preliminary drawings normally minimizes these charges.”
#5. The initial meeting (#1) and preliminary revision meeting (#2) are at no extra charge. Further meetings may be charged hourly fee when they exceed 15 total minutes. Requested on site visits will also be charged hourly fee.

Electric, Plumbing, Heating (MEPs), or any other drawings not included in the above General Contents list will be charged an extra fee of .10 per sft. each. Mechanical drawings may be contracted to others by B.D. or completed Floor Plans may be marked by a qualified mechanical contractors at customers’ request, and B.D. will draw as specified.
Customer or contractor is responsible to secure all permits etc. (Unless special arrangements have been made with B.D.)
Residential buildings normally do not require Professional Engineering. However, if the customer desires a Professional Engineer’s stamp on the drawings, it is available for an extra cost. By placing his P.E. seal on your drawings he ( the engineer ) takes responsibility for their contents, quality, stability of structure etc.

(Approximate 300.00 extra charge.) If you choose not to use this extra feature, you are stating that you except the full responsibility of the drawings made by B.D. and will not hold B.D. responsible for any error or omissions in the drawings. Buckeye Drafting is not a Professional Engineering or Architectural company. Although great effort is made to guard against structural errors or omissions, the customer is fully responsible to verify the contents of all drawings to ensure soundness of structure and appearance throughout the building process.

Per Sq. Ft. will be charged for the living floor space area of the house. Attached on slab garages and unfinished basements are not considered billable living area unless finished. Bonus rooms, sunrooms, dormers, porches over 400 sft. or extended over 8’ from main house and finished basements are considered billable living area.
Regularly we charge $0.50 per square foot (PSF) for our custom drawings, but the pre-drawn houses on our online store are selling for $0.30 per PSF. That is 40% off! However, if you want to make minor changes to an existing drawing you are subject to an additional hourly fee or contract, depending on the difficulty and/or hassle of the changes.
